4th December 2017

Dear (Name of Principal)

I am writing to express my keen interest in the positions of Teaching Position- Level 1- Graduate Reference No: 84756986  and Teacher Aide - Integration - Ed Support Level 1-Range 1, Reference No: 84756887

I have recently completed my Bachelor of Teaching degree and I am confident my qualifications, experience and mature outlook makes me a worthy candidate for both positions as advertised.

I am currently employed at St. Michael’s Primary School as a Parent Liaison Officer on a part time basis and also assist the PA to the Principal on voluntary basis 1-2 days per week.

My role as Parent Liaison Officer is first and foremost to encourage families to be engaged in learning.  This includes providing families with information on how to engage with teachers and students to understand more about the process of learning and what they can do at home to support their child’s learning.  I also promote the school at the local kindergartens and childcare centres and conduct school tours for prospective student enrolments.

During my voluntary work I have undertaken numerous administrative tasks including reception duties, editing and distributing the school newsletter on weekly basis, writing cheques, filing, updating enrolments using the school’s in-house system, checking new enrolments, sorting invoices and other duties as required.

Previous to maternity leave my roles have encompassed a vast array of duties which would be beneficial to your school.

As a Compliance Team Leader my commitment to servicing the needs of the company was reflected in the quality, professionalism and responsiveness of the services I delivered.  My customers, internal or external, played an integral role in the overall success of the organisation.

As a Resource Coordinator / Recruitment Specialist / Facilitator I developed and maintained solid relationships with people at all levels across all departments within and external to the company. As part of my role I utilised the in-house computer system to register candidates, job orders and place candidates.

I have the ability to work unsupervised and have demonstrated a high level of initiative and self motivation in the tasks I have been involved in and can work within an organisation’s policies and procedures to achieve successful outcomes.

As an effective communicator with a strong drive to achieve and the ability to work under pressure, I am able to ensure objectives are reached in a timely manner which will be beneficial to the individual and the organisation.

I have successfully completed the practical teaching school placement component as part of the Bachelor of Teaching degree and registered with all government / teaching authorities.

Please find attached a copy of my resume of relevant work experience.

I wish to reaffirm my strong interest and look forward to discussing my application further.

Yours sincerely,

Lisa Stanford
