Waive voluntary contributions

School contributions, State Parents and Citizens, Susie Boyd, New South Wales Government

Parents are requesting to waive voluntary school contributions as they consider them exploitative.  They are calling for the New South Wales Government to waive the contributions as many families are already financially stressed.  All schools in NSW may request a contribution whether for each individual child or per family.

State Parents and Citizens (P&C) president Susie Boyd said, "Parents are being asked for this money and they feel like they have to give it because they want their children to have a great education and they don't want their kids to miss out… They are foregoing other things.”
