Tasmania: Liberals are promising $324 million over six years

The Liberals are promising $324 million over six years.  They will employ 250 extra teachers and 80 teacher assistants.  $207 million will be spent in the next term of government including $69 million on staffing – 192 teachers and 80 assistants.
Education spokesman Jeremy Rockliff said, “We are committed to this because a good education is the best chance to get ahead in life, and we want to ensure every Tasmanian student, no matter where they live, has the best possible opportunities.
