Schools Plus provide philanthropic funding

Schools Plus, set up in 2003, is a not-for-profit organisation.  It is an education charity, giving disadvantaged schools access to philanthropic funding from wealthy donors and corporations.  More than $2.5 million has been donated of which 150 schools have benefited thus far.  The charity has connected with 650 schools Australia wide and expects to expand that number. “The response to setting up Schools Plus has been overwhelming,” said Ms Rosemary Conn, Schools Plus CEO.  Some of the projects include helping students learn to build their own computers, program Lego robots and create lighting works.
